KARABAUGH ORIENTAL PRAYER RUG, NORTHWEST PERSIA. Circa 1900. The central polychrome crab medallion with dense latch hooks within secondary octagons, all within an indigo field. The borders with rows of stepped crosses and flower heads. SIZE: 5′ 5″ x 3′ 2″. PROVENANCE: From an Ellsworth, Maine Estate. CONDITION: Good with areas of wear overall. Small re-woven areas at corners. Some oxidation. Colors remain strong. 9-21934 (500-800)
