FRENCH FASHION DOLL ATTRIBUTED TO GAULTIER. Bisque swivel head is incised “2/0″ and has blue glass eyes, closed mouth with separate shoulder plate mounted to an unusual hard torso with leather upper legs and china lower legs with molded gold shoes. Lower arms are bisque and she is dressed in an earlier style costume of a woman of means from the late 18th Century although the doll itself is from the early 1900s. SIZE: 12” (31cm). CONDITION: Significant chipping at neck, significant chip on forehead with hairline extending to left eye with another hairline behind right ear. Some repair to fingers on left hand. 1-12398 (400-600)
