SAMUEL NAFEW POKER GAMBLING MACHINE. An ornate turn of the century gambling device. When a nickel is deposited and the lever depressed, the five rows of cards would flap about, stopping suddenly and a poker hand was visible to the player. Player would be rewarded free cigars if he had a winning hand according to the award card at the top of the machine. Handsomely refinished some time ago in a copper blackened oxide, the ornate castings make this an eye-catcher as well as a very desirable machine. In functional working condition with original iron castings and original award and direction paper. SIZE: 11-1/2″ w x 8-1/2″ d x 12-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Overall very fine restored condition. Iron marquee has old damage/cracks with aged repair to rear of marquee.
