TWO SIMILAR CAUCASIAN PRAYER RUGS. Circa 1900. First with two aligned diamond medallions beneath a prayer arch planked by stylized trees, lower diamond flanked by horses on a blue/black ground densely populated with flower heads. Second with rows of geometric flower heads on a deep indigo ground. Prayer arch centering a conifer with candy striped branches within multiple ivory, red, and turquoise borders. SIZE: First: 3′ x 4′ 6″. Second: 2′ 9″ x 4′ 9″. CONDITION: Both with areas of wear, especially second example. First with cut end borders. Fair to good overall. 9-22609 (600-900)
