PATENT MODEL BREECH LOADING FIREARM. Wooden model patented circa 1862 attributed to Samuel Strong. One of a few such models he produced. No patent tags, but accompanied by copies of three spec sheets all similar to this model. Nicely crafted of two tone wood and realistically styled action. SIZE: 36-1/2″ l. PROVENANCE: The late Terry Wesner collection, Chelsea, Michigan. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. Some wear and light scratches and a small chip to the wood at the hammer. 1-12663 (400-600)
