SECOND MODEL BROWN BESS MUSKET. Cal. 69. 42” rnd bbl. Only faint remains of the Tower marking remain on the tail of the lockplate. George III marking is missing. There are no proof marks on the bbl or markings on the stock. Ramrod is a replacement. Sling swivels are missing. CONDITION: Gray/brown patina overall with light to moderate pitting. Stock has numerous repairs and cracks, and has been refinished. Sideplate has been broken in two but both pcs remain. Reconverted lock is operating stiffly.
