HARPERS FERRY FLINTLOCK MUSKET. Cal. 76. 44-5/8” rnd bbl. Marked “HARPERS / FERRY / 1813” in 3 vertical lines at the tail of the lockplate. There is a large eagle with “US” on a shield on its breast. Tang and ramrod are replacements. Gun has been reconverted to flintlock. This fine old muscket is from a private old Pennsylvaia collection and being sold unreserved. Part of a small old collection from Pennsylvania, this item is being sold unreserved. CONDITION: Pitting overall. Wood has repairs and coated with wax but not refinished.
