English sampler having a four-line verse surrounded by pictures including squirrel on potted plant, birds, flowers, basket of fruit, angels, deer, large brick house, lions, all encompassed by a strawberry vine border. The center inscribed “Hannah Chapman in the 12 year of her age 1827″. Housed in a fine period mahogany wood frame. SIZE: Sight: 16-1/2″ x 13”. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Joan B.
