SCARCE AND LARGE A.T. KESTNER CHILD DOLL. Exceptionally large version of this desirable German doll, the head is incised “16 X”. She has blue glass sleep eyes, closed mouth with separately molded tongue tip, pronounced double chin. Nicely painted facial features including thick eyebrows and is mounted on a separate bisque shoulder plate on an all leather body gusseted at elbows, hips and knees (some sawdust leakage) with perfect bisque forearms. She wears an antique dark brown mohair wig with center part, a pleated antique white cotton dress with ribbon inserts at the waist, antique underwear, socks and brown leather shoes. SIZE: 26-1/2″ (67cm). CONDITION: Overall very fine plus bisque with slight discoloration to color on left cheek. 1-8369 RS (7,500-9,500)
