36″ VOLLAND RAGGEDY ANN. An exceptional and uncommonly large Raggedy Ann purported to have been a store display in the front window. It is difficult to believe that a small child could play with such a large doll. Most likely these were purchased by store owners who merchandised children’s goods such as a shoe store, clothing store, or toy store. Tremendous appeal with huge shoe button eyes and a monstrous smile on her face make her most appealing. Still retains blush to cheeks and most of her original with small section on center of forehead inset with additional hair. A great piece, difficult to find. To those who collect Raggedy Anns, this could be the center of attention among the others. SIZE: 36″ h. CONDITION: Light soiling to face, some minor fading to blue dress. Apron has some moth damage and amateur repairs. 1-10388 (1,000-2,000)
