RHODE ISLAND QUEEN ANNE MAHOGANY POLE SCREEN. Last quarter 18th century. Probably Newport, oval molded screen mounted with floral polychrome silkwork, fitted with brass fastener and ring to a slender pole fitted with an acorn finial joined to a bulbous urn form turned standard raised on arched cabroile tripod legs terminating in pointed platform pad feet. SIZE: 57″ h overall, 15″ x 12″ screen. CONDITION: Very good overall, structural weakness evident in silkwork, one leg with professional repair at ankle. 9-96470 (800-1,200)
