ATTRIBUTED TO THOMAS COLE (American, 1801-1848) CROSSING THE STONE BRIDGE. Unsigned oval oil on board scene shows a man leading another man on horse across an arched stone bridge which crosses a small river with tree lined banks. A tall mountain is the backdrop under gray and white sky. Board is glued to a period matte and housed in an Eastlake antique frame. SIZE: 20-1/2″ x 17-1/4″.
