RARE LARGE GERMAN CHARACTER DOLL. Seldom found open mouth character with head incised “HEINRICH HANDWERCK / SIMON & HALBIG / 160″ with fixed blue glass eyes, open mouth with four upper teeth, protruding upper lip and deep double chin on a fully jointed German wood and composition body, appropriately dressed in a knee length pink cotton pleated dress with lace trim. SIZE: 27” h (69cm). CONDITION: Head has had some professional restoration in back, but well done. Hands slightly different color than rest of body, perhaps one size too large. 1-10385 (1,200-1,400)
