PATENT MODEL CABINET BED. Patented September 9, 1879 by L.C. Boyington, #219,342. Most unusual and innovative space saver. Made to look like a chest of drawers, further inspection reveals it opens to show a sleeping surface. Accompanied by patent and receiving tags (very good). SIZE: 9″ w x 5″ d x 8″ h (closed). PROVENANCE: The late Terry Wesner collection, Chelsea, Michigan. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with minor scratches and missing one lock escutcheon. 1-12681 (400-600)
