ENGLISH HALF-PINT PEWTER MUG OF NATHANIAL HAWTHORNE. Second quarter 19th century. This half-pint example engraved with the name of the owner, “NATHANIAL HAWTHORNE” in script, turned with incised edge and mid-banded, on a stepped flared base, applied with an S-scrolled handle. An illegible touchmark to right of handle. SIZE: Ht. 3 3/4″ CONDITION: Very good with minor roughness on rim. 9-96607 (300-500)
