TWO SCRIPTS FOR “GORKY PARK”. 1) A clean copy revised 3rd draft, 20 December 1982. Only a few pencil single word changes and revisions are seen through the script. 2) Having the cover annotated in Lee’s writing with the seven other stars. It is missing its title page and does not have any annotations. Screen play by Dennis Potter based on the novel by Martin Kruz Smith, directed by Michael Apted released in 1983. A cold war plot following an investigator on the Moscow police force relentlessly pursuing the solution to a triple homicide which occurred in Moscow’s Gorky Park. The movie starred Lee Marvin as Jack Osborne along with William Hurt. This movie was nominated for a Golden Globe in 1984 as well as winning the Edgar Award for Best Motion Picture and nominated for a BAFTA Film Award for Best Supporting Actor Michael Elphick in 1985.
