SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1795 FLINTLOCK MUSKET. Cal. 69. 45” rnd bbl. Marked with “SPRINGFIELD” in a downward arc at the tail of the lockplate and the standard eagle and with a “US” in script in front of the cock. It is dated “1802” on the buttplate. Date “1812” has been carved on the left cheekpiece along with a cross. Lockplate is marked with an “L” inside. All parts appear to be orig. There is some scratching and denting around the touch plate. CONDITION: Gray patina with light to moderate pitting overall. Stock is fine. Mechanically fine. 4-56318 FS171 (2,000-3,000)
