PATENT MODEL KITCHEN CABINET. Patented January 7, 1896 by G.A. Fischer, #552,522 (replaced tag). Creative kitchen device disguised as a chest of drawers. Center drawer actually contains a sifter mechanism activated by a handle on the side. Bottom drawer acts as a catch, while top two drawers are usable. Stamped on front with item name and patent date and stenciled on the back with the same information. Accompanied by old wood carrying case which is probably not original. SIZE: 6-1/2″ w x 7-1/4″ h x 4-1/4″ d. PROVENANCE: The late Terry Wesner collection, Chelsea, Michigan. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 1-12659 (300-600)
