PATENT MODEL WASHING AND WRINGING MACHINE. Patented September 14, 1869 by Orin Steel, #94,848. Trapezoidal wooden tub with tin bottom set with a series of fluted cylinders and gears that agitate the laundry and can then be sent through the wringers at the top. Separate crank raises and lowers the cover. Stenciled on side with inventor’s name. Accompanied by original patent and receiving tags (fair to good and faded). SIZE: 11-1/2″ l x 10-3/4″ h. PROVENANCE: The late Terry Wesner collection, Chelsea, Michigan. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. One or more legs appear to be replaced. 1-12677 (300-600)
