TWO MAINE PEWTER TEAPOTS. Second half 19th century. Allen Porter, Westbrook, ME and Freeman Porter, Westbrook, ME (1808-1848). The first example with the touchmark of Allen Porter, a teapot of squat and bulbous form, mounted with an S-scrolled ebonized handle, the lid with ebonized finial. The second, a lighthouse teapot with the touchmark of Freeman Porter, applied with a S-scrolled spurred handle. SIZE: Height of First: 7 1/4″; Height of Second: 10 3/4″ CONDITION: Both with clear touchmarks and very good patina. No restorations or damages noted. 9-96592 (400-700)
