PATENT MODEL WASHER. Electric machine reminiscent of a rock tumbler consisting of a horizontal wood slat drum set within an interior with small shelves to tumble product within. It rotates above a rectangular tub presumably filled with water. While tumbling the evenly spaced slats on the drum allow for drainage. Accompanied by two print outs of patent papers for similar machines from the mid 1920s. SIZE: 14-1/4″ l x 8-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: The late Terry Wesner collection, Chelsea, Michigan. CONDITION: Generally good. Repainted orange and black. Working at the time of consignment by the aid of a battery. Some miscellaneous parts and pieces are loose in the accompanying wood carrying case. 1-12715 (300-600)
