EXTREMELY LARGE & DETAILED ARCHITECTURAL/DOLL HOUSE. Although found with some doll furniture, it does not appear to access points other than windows and doors unless access points have been sealed. This turn of the century piece features simulated mortared brick for the basement block, simulated traditional brick for the second story, and the upper level has clapboard with a nicely shingled roof. Also includes copper piping, presumably to have running water as there is a tub on top. This fact leads us to believe that it was a model. Other highlights include an exterior fence, opening weighted windows (some with screens) and at one time a working doorbell. Front entrance on lowest level with a side entrance on the second story with stair entrance, screen door, and fancy Victorian solid wood door with oval glass window. Appealing homemade detail inside and out. Interior has several staircases, opening raised panel doors, trim work, molding, early wallpaper, built-in cabinets with doors and drawers, metal radiators, and curtained windows with some working shades. Perhaps this was a copy of a real house with 10+ rooms with the first level being a basement only. CONDITION: Unsure of level of completeness. Exterior finish has darkened and is a little dirty, but could be cleaned. Window and doors are mostly intact. Inside is a little disheveled but workable for a house of this age.
