This engraved map of North Africa with Cape Verde Islands, Canary Islands and the Azores with original watercolor outlines made by Guillaume De L’isle (1675-1726) of the Royal Academy of Sciences. This map is dated August, 1707. Mounted in a modern frame. SIZE: 19 1’4″ x 24 3/4″ Sight CONDITION: This heavy stock paper, hand printed and colored, has a major crease running vertically mid-point of the map with minor discoloration and foxing throughout. The colors remain surprisingly vibrant. The paper with substantial rippling. Not examined out of frame. 9-97203 (300-500)
