LEE MARVIN’S ANNOTATED SCRIPT FOR “PAINT YOUR WAGON”. The loose script bound in a black three ring binder with taped paper in Lee’s hand “Marvin”. The script title page indicating it is the final draft of the spring series; May 16, 1968. It includes a three page cast of principle characters and musical synopsis. Lee has written on the back side of some of the pages his thoughts on changes and comments also can be found next to the typed script his thoughts and line annotations. This 1969 musical starred Lee Marvin as Ben Rumson and Clint Eastward as Jean Seberg amongst others. The film revolves around two unlikely prospector partners who share the same wife in a California gold rush mining town. It was nominated for an Oscar and Lee Marvin was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Actor for Music/Comedy. He also won the Fotogramas de Plata for Best Foreign Performer. Lee Marvin was awarded a Golden Record and No. 1 Chart Award for the song “Wandrin Star” from the Soundtrack album for this movie. SIZE: 11-1/2″ x 10-1/4″.
