FINE HARPERS FERRY MODEL 1816 FLINTLOCK MUSKET. Cal. 69. 41-¾” rnd bbl. Dated “1819” on lockplate and bbl. There is also an “H / 57” marking on top of the bbl with other marks on lock and bbl. There are numerous standard marks on the left flat of the stock including “AD” and “JPC” cartouches, “AT” inspector mark, “3”, “V”, “V”, and some unreadable. There are vise marks at the rear of the bbl. Inside of the lockplate has many of the same markings. Pan is as cast inside with no inspector marks or initials. CONDITION: Brown patina overall. Stock has sharp edges and crisp markings. Light pitting around the breach of the bbl, hammer screw and the buttplate. 4-55151 FS107 (2,500-3,500)
