EARLY CLOSED MOUTH KESTNER. One of the most desirable of all the closed mouth Kestners, she is incised “XI” and has blue glass sleep eyes, closed pouty mouth, pale bisque with rouged cheeks, well painted lashes and brows and is on her original fully jointed early wood and composition body with straight wrists and cupped fingers. She retains her original blond mohair wig over plaster pate and is dressed in a long white cotton and lace christening gown with matching lacy bonnet. She has crocheted booties and wool petticoat. SIZE: 16″ h (41cm). CONDITION: Bisque head very good with slight color rub on left cheek; body retains excellent original finish with only minor scratches and paint chips at joints. 1-10302 (1,000-1,500)
