DUTCH MADE FLINTLOCK MUSKET FROM THE ERA OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION. Cal. 82. 43-1/4” rnd bbl. Marked “Crown / I. D. / two illegible lines” on the lockplate. The top of the bbl also has an unreadable marking. Possibly used in the American Revolution. There are unit markings on the gun as follows: Rear thumb pc is marked “EN = 32” and the tang of the buttplate is marked “7½ BR / I illegible BAT”, initials are carved on both sides of the stock. All brass fittings. The ramrod is a replacement the sling swivel is missing. CONDITION: Rust/brown patina overall. Stock is missing a large chip at the front of the lock and minor chips elsewhere. Furniture has a very dark patina. Frizzen has been refaced. 4-57231 FS181 (4,000-6,000)
