Correction: Tiny chip to inside corner of left eye socket. UNUSUALLY LARGE SIMON & HALBIG DOLL MADE FOR THE FRENCH MARKET. Lovely early Simon & Halbig doll incised “S&H/18/949″ with open smiling mouth with four square upper teeth, pierced ears, inset blue glass eyes with painted lower lashes and fine silk upper eyelashes, sweeping multi-stroke thickly painted eyebrows and mounted to the original fully jointed wood and composition body with fine original patina. The wig is antique blond mohair with bangs and long curls in back. Shoes are antique, one-strap, blue leather children’s shoes. Overall a lovely life sized doll. SIZE: 34″ h (87cm). CONDITION: Overall excellent with approximately 1/2” surface scratch near rim in front, but is not a damage. 1-10383 (2,750-3,750) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Spring 2010 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
