LEOPOLD LAMBERT FRENCH MUSICAL AUTOMATON. As the mirror is raised, her head moves slightly up and down. The flat cut neck of the bisque head accommodates the additional movement. The head is incised “S&H 1159” and she has glass eyes, open mouth with upper teeth. The forearms are bisque with nicely modeled fingers (left pinkie finger is repaired). On the dressing table there is a large mirrored table trimmed with cloth flowers and there are various items normally found in a lady’s boudoir on the table. Wooden base which contains the music and mechanical works is draped with an olive colored piece of velvet with gold braid trim. The automaton has its original metal key with “LB”.
