FINE NEW ENGLAND SHERATON INLAID MAPLE & MAHOGANY CARD TABLE. Circa 1840, probably Massachusetts. The rectangular hinged top with serpentine edges and checkerboard stringing and ogival corners above the conforming frieze, inlaid with figured maple centering a cross banded rectangular panel further centering an oval inlay. The whole raised on ring turned swelled and reeded cylindrical legs with ringed cuffs and tapering feet. SIZE: 29-1/4″ h x 35-1/4″ w x 18″ d. CONDITION: Very good overall with professionally restored and repolished surfaces showing rich color and strong contrasting figural woods. 9-97260 (1,200-1,800)
