PATENT MODEL BRICK MACHINE. Patented November 27, 1866 by J.W. Pease, #60,050 (replacement tag). Very heavy brass and wood model consisting of a series of 24 numbered brick molds with sliding bottoms in a chain that advances by means of a hand crank beneath two large brass rollers. SIZE: 15″ l x 9-1/4″ w x 9-3/4″ h. PROVENANCE: The late Terry Wesner collection, Chelsea, Michigan. CONDITION: Good. Upon close inspection, three of the four legs upon which it rests are replaced and one of the brass drum supports is replaced. Mounted to wooden base of more recent vintage. 1-12698 (800-1,200)
