VIRGINIA MANUFACTORY MODEL 1795 FLINTLOCK MUSKET. Cal. 69. 44” rnd bbl. The lockplate is dated 1809 at the tail. The other markings are only faintly visible. “PRINCE WILLIAM”, we believe for Prince William County, Virginia, is stamped on top of the bbl. There is a very early sheet iron repair nailed to the stock in front of the lockplate. The lock has some replaced parts, but is possible original. There is a strap iron repair on the trigger guard. CONDITION: Rust/brown patina overall. Numerous repairs to the wood. Mainspring is slightly short and will slip off the tumbler causing breakage to the stock. 4-57259 (3,000-4,500)
