SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND INDIAN COVERED STORAGE BASKET. The large square bottom and round top basket having wide and thin red and blue horizontal bands. The vertical bands with blue stamp decoration. The conforming cover with many blue and red colored bands. A wonderful and colorful example of an old New England Indian basket. SIZE: 14″ h x 19″ dia. PROVENANCE: From a New England Institution. CONDITION: The piece is generally in very good condition with only a few minor splits which do not affect its integrity. 9-22013 (400-600)
