SALESMAN SAMPLE ROAD GRADER. An outstanding piece of early construction equipment, exact in every detail. The Adams Leaning Wheel Road Grader so named because the front and back wheels adjust with the turn of a crank for turning when pulled behind a team of horses or oxen. It features numerous working levers and gears (encased in gear boxes) to change the height, pitch and angle of the blade. Retains original brass plaques on both sides, identifying J.D. Adams & Co. of Indianapolis. This fresh-to-the-market piece was purchased several years ago from a retired employee of Adams who stated this had been in the factory showroom for as long as he could remember. SIZE: 22″ l x 7″ w.
