BLACK BROWNIE-LIKE CLOCKWORK STORE DISPLAY SOLDIER. A most interesting store stimulator of a black soldier holding his rifle, large smile with cigarette protruding from mouth (missing) and googly eyes. Mechanism contained in head and when activated his eyes will slowly turn to the right and then to the left. The oversized head adds to the appeal and charisma of this item! Circa 1920s figure is dressed in military garb and appears to be all original. SIZE: 22”. CONDITION: Very good, leather belt around waist shows fair amount of distress, clothing soiled, finger missing on one hand. Mechanism untested. JL 1-6722 (1,500-2,500)
