SIMON & HALBIG 151 CHARACTER CHILD. The Simon & Halbig firm produced four dolls in the 150 series. This particular child has painted side glancing eyes, and an open/closed mouth with painted teeth. A highly desirable character as well as most appealing. She is dressed in an antique white cotton dress, antique blond mohair wig with dual braids, and older shoes and socks. She is on a fully jointed ball composition body with typical Kestner markings on rear of torso. Fine quality bisque with no wig chips, which is usually problematic with these dolls. SIZE: 14-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Overall excellent plus. Upon close examination under magnifying glass, a few very faint light brown pinpoint spots on right cheek. 1-10469 (2,500-3,500)
