LYON & HEALY BIRDSEYE MAPLE HARP. Late 19th century. This instrument, of typical form, marked by the maker on the brass headplate, “Lyon & Healy Makers Chicago, USA Patent Applied For Serial No. 3663”. The harp consists of a fluted column headed by a gilt decorated stylized capital, on a circular shaped plinth, raised on claw-feet and fitted with 7 foot pedals. SIZE: Overall 62-1/2″ h x 32-1/2″ d x 15″ w. PROVENANCE: Collection of Elwyn Dearborn, Medford, NJ & Portland, ME. CONDITION: Structurally intact, gilding redone and with losses. Old surfaces scrubbed and cleaned. 9-95980 (1,500-2,500)
