UNIQUE WOOD ARTICULATED DOLL. Unusual figure with terra cotta head with elaborate flax wig with long vertical curls. Molded and painted features in the Neapolitan style on realistically carved wooden figure with narrow waist, wide hips and jointed at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees and having terra cotta forearms that are individually modeled (one finger repaired). She wears very interesting custom made flat leather shoes with brass buckles and squared toes. Clothing consists of all antique undergarments; dark black velvet dress with gold lame and black sleeves and collar trimmed in antique lace with a long black floor length silk skirt. She comes with her own antique homemade stand with base covered in yellow velvet and gold braid trim. She also has a ribbon from the UFDC Convention 1955 Boston. SIZE: 26″ (66cm). CONDITION: Very good considering age. There is some top layer of paint flaking on both sides of neck. 1-12312 (4,000-6,000)
