EDWARD CHALMERS LEAVITT (American, 1842-1904) DOLPHIN URN AND ROSES. Oil on canvas board still life scene shows a royal Worcester type porcelain vase having dolphin handles and cover in back of a pile of white, red and pink roses. Several dew drops are seen on the leaves and part of the carved tabletop is shown. A nice blue fabric acts as backdrop. Signed lower right “E C Leavitt 1892″. Housed in a museum quality reproduction gilt frame with gilt artist plaque. SIZE: 12″ x 24”. CONDITION: Minor inpainting. Very good. 9-94293 (5,000-7,000)
