EARLY BRU BEBE.

EARLY BRU BEBE. Diminutive Bru from early 1880s simply marked on back of head with half moon incised mark and some indecipherable impress markings on shoulder. Doll has lovely tiny brown paperweight eyes, blond painted eyebrows and evenly painted eyelashes, pierced ears, open/closed mouth with tiny molded upper teeth. Bisque head swivels on a separate bisque shoulder plate with realistically molded chest. Gusseted white leather body is firm with bisque fingers intact. She appears to retain her original pleated silk blue factory dress with ecru lace trim at the collar and bottom of skirt. SIZE: 11-1/2” (29cm) t. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent with exception of faint hairline crack on underside of left bisque forearm. Body is clean with no apparent leakage.
