AUNT JEMIMA PANCAKE FLOUR CARDBOARD PREMIUM TOY. Colorful die-cut advertising premium circa 1905 for Aunt Jemima pancake flour from the Davis Milling Co., St. Joseph, Missouri. Consists of a hinged embossed cardboard 2-piece Aunt Jemima that was originally tethered together to a die-cut box of pancake flour with a string. By pulling on the bottom of the string, Aunt Jemima would appear to be climbing a rope to reach the box of flour at the top. Caption reads “I’s in town honey–Le’ me to it!” SIZE: Aunt Jemima 6-1/2″ w. x 13″ t. CONDITION: Aunt Jemima is missing a small pin/grommet that held the top and bottom halves together; the original string and small guides that the string threads through are missing, otherwise she’s in very good to excellent condition. Reverse of all three pieces has old glue residue. 1-9585 (800-1,200)
