PAIR OF CINNABAR VASES. 18th century, Ch’ien Lung Period (1735-1796), China. Bottle form vases with decoration of red poppies on a diapered yellow ground (fade to tan color with natural aging). Inlaid with jade birds and mother of pearl butterflies. Scrolling foliated borders. All deeply and finely carved. SIZE: 18″ h. CONDITION: Small areas of loss at top rims and toning.
