Polychrome painted rendition titled “Portsmouth”, model number E-28 illustrated on page 2 of the Artistic Carving Company catalog depicts an eagle with open beak set against a banner painted with the words “DON’T GIVE UP THE SHIP”, carved with a US shield against the proper left wing. SIZE: 9″ h x 27″ wingspan. CONDITION: Retains old surfaces, structurally intact with normal wear to gilding, very good overall. 9-96298 (1,500-2,500)
