HUGE SCALE MODEL OF A PULLMAN CAR & FLAT CAR. This lot as well as the next lot were recently found in a New Jersey estate. Painstakingly created from scratch the wooden body of the passenger car exhibits an immense undertaking not only in time and labor but in recreating in miniature an American icon of railroad history. It features an inordinate amount of attention to detail including the pot belly stove and vent pipe in passenger compartment, knuckle couplers, clerestory, framework, railings, etc. The flatcar lettered in a PENNSYLVANIA motif is constructed of a wooden body with intricate detailing including rivets, stake holders (metal), simulated plank flooring, and lettering. The truck assemblies appears to be of professional manufacture and probably available to those creating various railroad cars. SIZE: 78″ l x 16″ w x 27″ h overall. CONDITION: Overall very fine original condition with a few minor chips. 1-10326 (1,750-2,250)
