DAVID TUTWILER (American, 1952-) “UNION PACIFIC #844 IN GLENWOOD CANYON”. Large oil on canvas western scene shows a black locomotive with connected yellow cars steaming through a river canyon with steep sides and rock ledges. Foreground shows two large bears near rapids watching the train. Background mountain peak with snow is seen with large soaring bird. All under blue and white cloud sky. Signed lower left and inscribed “Glen Wood Canyon Co”. Back of canvas with title, artist and date “1990”. Housed in a fine gilt gesso decorated frame with linen liner. SIZE: 30″ x 40″.
