UNSIGNED (American, Late 19th Century) PADDLE-WHEELER, CASCO BAY. Folk art oil on panel scene shows a two-stack river or coastal side wheeler rounding a point with Colonial two-story house nestled amongst trees. A single mast sailboat is seen near the house, all under colorful sunset sky. Housed in a period pierced decorated gilt frame, likely original. The back indicating provenance “Chandler Est./Andover ME” with pencil title. SIZE: 9-1/2″ x 15-1/4″. CONDITION: Original condition with some surface dirt. 9-21792 (1,200-1,600)
