AMERICAN CARVED EAGLE WALL PLAQUE. Late 19th, early 20th century. This nicely carved spread-wing eagle clutching an American shield in one talon and a clutch of arrows in the other. Carved in the manner of John Haley Bellamy. In a crusty brown/black varnish. SIZE: 15″ h x 43-3/4″ w. CONDITION: With overall weathered surfaces. Loss to front of proper left wing. Loss of one talon and with repair to upper section of proper right wing. Otherwise good. 9-22557 (1,500-2,000)
