IVORY & SILVER OVERLAY WALKING STICK OF SENATOR E.O. WOLCOTT. Circa 1892. Walking stick with an ivory handle and marked Gorham Silver Co. sterling overlay. Presented to “Senator E.O. Wolcott Compliments of Idaho Springs, Colorado” inscribed within a scrolled band beneath the handle. Handle is mounted on a textured wood shaft. SIZE: 35″ l. CONDITION: Silver overlay with multiple small dents and nicks and missing small areas of overlay on proper left side. Additionally small losses to proper right side. Ivory with good polished patina. Wooden shaft with undisturbed patina. Ivory handle with old stress cracks. 9-23592 (600-900)
