LOT OF FOUR SHELL GASOLINE CARTOON CHARACTER DIE-CUT SIGNS. Two of these cardboard signs feature cartoon characters from the 1934 “Toonerville Trolley” comic strip. The comic strip and these signs were drawn by Fontaine Fox, a Louisville artist. Copyright 1934 by Fontaine Fox. The other two signs are cartoon characters from the comic strip “Mutt and Jeff” drawn by cartoonist H.C. (“Bud”) Fisher, Copyright 1934 by H.C. Fisher. SIZE: Approx. 23-1/2″ t x 8-1/2″ w.
