Image Lot Price Description

3342
$4,312.50
Revised: 6/30/2010

Both 3342 & 3343 were consigned from an estate. It was our belief that they are both original and in outstanding condition. However, a couple collectors have voiced concerns that they are so good that they must be restored and there seems to be no positive was to prove one way or the other. Therefore, we do not guarantee that these lots have not been restored.

LIONEL 5344 ENGINE & TENDER. In exceptional original condition, this classic Lionel train also known as the Hudson is in very fine plus condition. Drive wheels underneath show some wear, but some blackening still in place. Most likely always packed away as engine shows no evidence of shelf dust. Marker lights intact, nickeled railings, whistle, bell etc. bright and shiny. Rubber stamping of 5344 is brilliant with no wear. The twelve wheel tender matches the condition of the engine and it is hard to believe that original boxes are not present! The following few lots were packed away in a closet for upwards of 30 years. Both this engine and the following engine (763E) are in virtually unplayed with original condition. Several other lots must have been the trains that the children were allowed to played with. These two engines surely had to be off limits to the kids. SIZE: Overall approx. 24″ l. CONDITION: As noted. 1-9822 (2,250-4,250)
